Integrate right into your site

Start taking bookings after an easy two-minute set up. No credit card required. All you need to do is add the services you provide and define your opening hours.

Also you can adjust how the booking site should look, customize outgoing messages and modify many other settings for how your account should work.

Share your booking site with a link, a booking button or a QR code. Each service has its own QR code too, ready for posters, flyers and business cards.

Your customers expect to be able to book online. Not only easier for them but it will save you money and you will be able to focus on the things that matter instead of answering phone calls.

Makeplans works for any type of booking:

  • Appointments - a customer selects a time between scheduled opening hours.
  • Event registration - a customer signs up to attend a class, seminar or other events at a specific date and time.
  • Day and overnight bookings - a customer books whole days, for rentals or accommodation.
  • Group bookings - several people on one booking, within the limits you set.
  • Drop-ins - staff add a walk-in without a customer record.

Verification included

Makeplans will verify the identity of those making a booking. This ensures your database isn't full of inaccurate information and will reduce spam/fake bookings. You can also disable verification if you prefer.

Need an extra layer of verification? You can also manually confirm new reservations.

SMS reminders

Customers will automatically receive an SMS reminder before the appointment. This will reduce no-shows and ensures that customers don't have to re-book when they forget appointments.

Credit card payments

It's possible to demand prepayment with a credit card using our payment partner Stripe. You will automatically receive the paid amount in your bank account within a few days. It's very easy to get started and Stripe has no monthly fixed fees.

Credit card details are never stored in Makeplans. All our payment processing partners are PCI compliant.

Every sale in one order

Customers can buy several things in one order on your booking site, such as a service, an add-on and a product.

Each order shows the customer, items and payments, and links to the reservation. Follow orders by status in one list, and refund a payment when you need to.

Sell products, passes, subscriptions and gift cards

Earn more than single bookings. Offer these on your booking site:

  • Products - anything else you sell, in the same order as a booking.
  • Passes - a set number of visits or unlimited visits, valid for as many days as you choose.
  • Subscriptions - a set number of bookings or unlimited bookings, renewed at the interval you set.
  • Gift cards - for customers to buy and give away.
  • Coupon codes - a percentage or fixed amount off, limited by date, service or number of uses.
  • Add-ons - extras customers can add to a service.

You choose which services each pass, subscription and add-on applies to.

Waitlist for full slots and events

Fully booked? Customers can join a waitlist instead of going elsewhere, so a cancellation doesn't have to mean an empty slot.

When a place opens up, Makeplans can give it to the first person in line automatically or tell everyone on the list. Turn it on for the whole account or for single services.

We provide a sensible default for outgoing messages but you can easily adjust texts in all outgoing messages.

You can even adjust the SMS and email sender name. When your customers book using Makeplans they book with you - not us.

Our advanced message template function allows you to trigger email and sms at any point in the booking flow. Send the booking confirmation message as both email and SMS. All up to you - you have full control over delivery timing, content and senders.

One calendar to rule them all

All your appointments are available in one interface. Make changes. Look up future bookings. Add notes or custom data to each appointment. You and your staff are all in full control.

Put it on repeat!

Monday meetings at 9AM? A customer who needs to make that booking on the first Monday every month? Just add a repeating appointment.

Define your own availability

Set up your standard availability for the weekdays: Mon-Wed 9AM-3PM, Thu 11AM-6PM and TGIF 1PM-2PM. But what about those busy holidays? No worries, just adjust your availability for specific dates. Closed on November 25th? Done. Extended opening hours every Saturday in December? Done. Lunch every day at noon? You got it!

Closed on public holidays? Switch it on once and you're done. You can also limit workload: give each service points and each resource a daily maximum, so nobody gets too many heavy treatments in one day.

Flexible by design

With Makeplans you can adjust how things look and work. You can for example fine tune the calendar with how many minutes each cell should show. Or if you only work during the weekdays then why not hide the weekends in the calendar?

You can also add custom fields to all objects in Makeplans. So each calendar, service, customer, booking, can all store extra custom information. You can add fields for text, checkboxes, drop-downs and more. Or some custom HTML with Liquid template logic - your developer will love the flexibility that Makeplans offers.

Here you can also add a new appointment manually. The customer database can be synchronized with your CRM-system.

Find out how visits really went. Customers rate their reservation on a scale you choose, anywhere from 1-2 to 1-10.

The ratings report shows averages by resource and service, the response rate and the lowest-rated reservations, so you know what to look into.

Room display

Mount a tablet outside the room so everyone can see if it's free. Turn on the display for any resource to get a public page with its current status and upcoming reservations.
